Antonov An-2
The Antonov An-2 is a Soviet single-engine biplane utility aircraft, the first design of Oleg K. Antonov's OKB-153 bureau. Its first flight came in 1947; Antonov had designed it for farm work, to take over from the Polikarpov Po-2, and it was built around rough-field utility: twelve passengers or more than 4,000 pounds of freight, carried into and out of unprepared strips in almost any weather. More than 18,500 were produced, many under license in Poland and China, in dozens of variants, and examples still fly worldwide.
